Why are we not doing this in America
I think it’s important to not gloss over the fact that these companies profit from selling pills stronger than heroin and then lie about them being addictive. So people become addicts because they have a back Pain, not because their Life sucks.

I wish I could see a doctor who saw drug addiction like this man. The system in America is such bullshit and some people struggle all their lives without ever getting the help they need in this country. As a former opiate addict who has been on methadone/suboxone this resonates with me. I took opioids because it served a function and relieved a lot of pain/distress I was feeling that was causing me to live an unfulfilling life. Methadone treatment was great for me at first because it still provided the buzz or effect I needed but gave me stability and kept me off the streets. Inevitably it wore off and after trying to live sober the last 7 years I feel more lost now than prior to my addiction. Because of my opiate addiction however, doctors won't really here me in this country and assume I'm just a lowly addict that's trying to get loaded. Well perhaps I am…..but perhaps for certain ppl like me it's the only way we can live normal/fulfilling lives.
