  1. Just like the corrupt, out-of-control police in the US, these cartels don't understand one very important thing about people: They will take oppression only for so long before it boils over. And God do I fear what will happen when it does (in both places). The amount of human suffering and loss scares me. The fact that so many people of the world see no loss in ending others lives. They don't see the loss of another human brain working together to solve the world's problems, they don't see the one person who could have made a difference in someone's life that won't be there now. They don't understand that they are shooting themselves in the foot each time they kill another human being -no matter if they're a soldier on the other side, a drug-addicted homeless loser, or a miss-guided cop that truly believes they're doing the right thing by brutalizing the people they claim to serve and protect. Eventually all the downbeating, the intimidation, and persecution will backfire and God help us if it gets to that point. I fear for the lives of the people on both sides here that will end as a result. Anyone look back on the French revolution or the Russian revolution and think it was a good thing? Look at the millions of lives lost -the lifetimes of knowledge and wisdom lost, the years of experience in how to run a farm or a government, or a machine shop… LOST. When will people finally understand the one thing that makes us different from all the other animals on this planet: shared knowledge. When will we finally value the lives of our own damn people? God help us all…

I hate to say it, but the longer I learn of our sorted history, the more depressed I get. The more I understand the depth of human travesty, the less hope I still have. Can you imagine being a Cartel head and fully aware of all the human misery you're creating? Can you imagine what you have to tell yourself to justify the level of destruction on this Earth you're responsible for? Then again, I wonder if Harry Anslinger was able to grasp the amount of harm he was causing in his lifetime campaign against blacks and addicts. Just the level of misguided delusion scares me. How many more people out there like this are there?

I wonder what it was like that day -the day she was shot in the head. I wonder if people could see him coming, I wonder if anyone could have warned her. I wonder what was going through the mind of the murderer that pulled the trigger -was there just a blankness there from years of conditioning at the hands of the Zetas? I wonder how the people reacted that were standing there when it happened. To think, in a single instant, a truly remarkable and heroic woman's life was ended. With such a simple act, this brave voice was silenced and there was no consequence. Was there a crowd around her at the time? Was the shooter surrounded or avoided? Did the people just feel helpless when it happened and unable to do anything about it? This has got to be one of the saddest talks I have listened to in a very long time.

  2. I was born and raised in EPTX, northeast side (shout-out). Anyways, I live in Wyoming now and it’s so crazy how uncovered these cartel stories are, because I know the fact was Juarez was the most dangerous city in the world (even more so than Baghdad and Giza), and it was never a political issue. Right fuckin there on the bridge where they hung several bodies as a message of power and fear, never talked about OUTSIDE of the borderland.

  3. You should talk to og Shadow. He's over 10 years out of the Sinaloa cartel. He's now a journalist still living in Mexico. Brave man. Still believe Ed? Shadow has haters, don't believe them. Do your own research. He knows EVERYTHING you want to know about Cartels and Mexico. Ed was dirty. ALL Mexican police are without exception. If they're not, they're dead. It's not them, its their boss that makes the deal and the rest have to fall in line or die. Dont be fooled Joe. Ed does drop a lot of truth bombs but leaves a lot out. I like him, but he lies mostly by omission and dancing around his past. At least think it over. 2 of the journalists you've head on have worked with Shadow.
