  1. If feel sugar has a large part in it,. I have wic. Start off with formula for 6 months then formula and cereal next 6 months then at a year you switch the milk and soft food and then in the next 3 to 6 months they start doing juices like apple juice and I swear it wasn't until after that and occasionally the kids snacks with sugar is when I saw the hyperness increase alot,. When my brother was born my mom said she had to eliminate all sugar from him cause he was a completely different child

  2. Not that there is sense in this, but this sort of thing still makes me want to spit nails and say f*** you ignorant bastards spreading prejudice against something that so profoundly affects lives and, by God do I know first hand, is real – and REALLY disabling. Irresponsible opinion-formers like this continuing to spread the prejudice that means that adhd is still not accepted or funded in many arts of the uk – treatment that is fundamental to the quality of life for people who really have ahdd is withheld, and there is an utter dearth of any particularly knowledgeable help available to people with very real struggles. It is irresponsibly damaging when people with the ability to construct a convincing argument but do not know enough about adhd to talk so belittlingly about adhd. Itis so much more than the need to run off energy. I worked for over ten years in a physically demanding job, struggling with life in so many ways due to adhd but determined that it was just about hard work and determination – – after many years of grafting I realised this was no use and I had to go back to the adhd drugs I had resentfully taken on and off as a youngster. I had never had the chance previously to try dexamphetamine but when I did it was lifechanging. However, due to an ingrained prejudice I came across in many individuals in various roles holding similar ignorant views about ADHD through my ensuing rocky journey through the mental health system, a withdrawal of funding for adult adhd in my area, a number of spurious diagnoises being used to negate my original adhd diagnosis it took seven years, til I was nearly forty, losing everything I had worked for for all those years, as well as my confidence and my self esteem, and much else besides, before I was finally able after an enormous battle, to get back on the lisdexamphetamine that makes so very much difference to my life in so many ways. I am still battling a lot of the fall out from all of this and my medication is not overseen by a psychiatrist with a decent knowledgeable of these meds – dammit, I have bad insomnia now and stimulants help me sleep, but they will not believe me – "I dont want you to feel motivated and doing things in the evening" – that is not what they are about – they are profoundly relaxing! – they allow me to organise the evening, get the basic jobs such as the washing up done, they allow me to do relaxing things like watch tv and actually enjoy it and gain relaxation from it. They mitigate the anxiety I now suffer from in a way that no anti anxiety med has ever done. And when I have taken them shortly before sleep I have woken up. actually feeling rested – as I have hardly ever done in my whole life . This sort of superficial ignorance is unhelpful.
