  1. Amish store near where I live. They seem to be on a different level than the general public, minds are clearer, and seem less polluted I'd call it not by drugs or anything just the general pollution of society.

  2. I have ADHD – it’s genetic, my kids have it, and it’s been an issue for the whole of my life – my parents noticed my hyperactivity by the time I was 2 years old.. Stimulant medication CALMS MY BRAIN DOWN. It simply doesn’t have that effect on people with non-ADHD brains. I’m not mad, but I have genetically created overactive dopamine re-uptake inhibitors in my brain. In an Amish society, I’d be fine, but as Johann says, this society tries to deaden you, make you sit still for hours. That’s where my problems start. It sounds like the Amish DO have ADHD kids, they just don’t have a society that makes it impossible for these kids to thrive.

  3. ADHD is severely mislabeled. It is a neurodevelopmental disorder that makes to unable to complete executive functions. Very rarely do you GET ADHD. The vast majority of it is genetic.

Even if I was an environment where I didn't have to sit still, I still have trouble remembering to brush my teeth. Everything isn't about capitalism.

Plus something about the Amish, is that they are heavily community oriented. If you placed an adult that was raised in an Amish community in a similar environment, except they lived by themselves and weren't having help with chores from a spouse, they would not be able to get everything they wanted done.
