Its not just about not being able to sit still. ADD/ADHD is definitely over diagnosed in children but under diagnosed in adults. Its about not being able to fish well because you ended up seeing something shiny in the water and decided to spend an hour trying to get that.
I drove the amish around for a few years. Some do have add/adhd and are medicated for it. They also have amish only drug rehabs, psyc wards, and everything else your community has. Its just not advertised.
The puppy analogy!
I have ADHD, my parents disciplined with chores, which I did constantly. It forced me to create conditions (paranoia, ocd, others). By body and personality seemed calm but my mind was still hyper.
Find me one person with autism raised in an Amish community . Doesn’t exist. It’s called The Amish Anomaly. The one place big Pharma isn’t and they aren’t medicated out the wazoo they’re fine
