  1. Say what you will. Antidepressants saved my life. I have no shame about relying on this tool (along with therapy) to make myself feel better. Plus, when I am depressed, I can't find the motivation to get out of bed or brush my teeth so to say the pain is a motivator for someone with a mental illness is bullshit!

  2. I had depression for 14 years, to the point, every time I have felt joy, I knew soon after the migraine and emptiness will follow. I would anticipate it, because I know how my brain works.
    I was sober almost 100% for those 14 years.
    Depression and pain can debilitate you from doing things, because you just have pain and that's all you have.
    You need help with it. Never dismiss a person with heavy depression, you might be an answer.

    Think of it when you have all pain and sorrow when your life is success.

    Phil clearly never been depressed for 14 years while being successful. There is a thing called chemical depression, not circumstance driven one.

  3. I went into a deep depression after an injury stopped me from boxing for a couple of months. The exercise made me feel fine, but when I stopped the depression came on harder than it ever had.
