Another self proclaimed expert. My dog is also.
Here’s a story that some can relate to. So, I refused to take Ritalin in the 4th grade after my doctor decided I needed it. So, I decided to finally take it for a few months after my parents thought that was best for me.
A few months later on a Sunday I stepped on a nail and could barely walk but my parents made me go to school anyway. Turns out I won the ‘Most Improved Student’ award.
I refused the meds immediately after receiving the award. I hated winning that award while being on medication. I told myself I’d NEVER TAKE MEDICINE AGAIN.
10 years later I took an Adderal from a friend and ended up prescribed 120mg/day (30mg 4x). Along with 6mg of klonipin for the downs of the uppers.
This combination nearly killed me, it destroyed my marriage, ruined many relationships and put my parents through hell.
These meds are HIGHLY ADDICTIVE. It’s basically legal meth and tranquilizers.
Some people need these but the people like me who abused them…. What do we do about us?
Why are soccer moms being prescribed opioids in the first place?
I truly think that over medicating children can result in them becoming chemically dependant in later years . The pharmaceutical companies are conditioning kids to grow up into addicts
They should’ve never given this med out like it was Advil. People who are actually in awful pain can no longer be treated, and they do not even have a replacement drug for high level pain…. AWFUL JOB, super sketchy as well.
