The problem people have is they base their ideas of opinions not based on Aliens but based on us. In 100 years we went from walking to rocket ships. We can't even begin to comprehend what we would have available if we can continue with any form of improvement for tens of thousands of years. We went from typewriter, no internet, to cell phones as children between me and my brother. Assuming that an advanced civilization has not figured out how to travel is extremely short-sighted and borderline ridiculous
