I'm 3yr Med Student. Let's skip victim BS please … he mentioned Schistosomiasis & Leishmaniasis (affecting the poor), both of which are parasitic diseases … meaning that POOR HYGIENE (both personal and situational – mattress) is the predisposing factor. I've seen plenty of patients already on my Clinical Rotations, and it's no secret that patients with the worst hygiene habits tend to be of lower socio-economic status (not accounting homeless; which are of separate category). Cleaning your house, mattress, and yourself is a choice that has very little to do with money. The Government and Vaccination programs won't change this.
I really don’t think this guy has ever been to the south. People aren’t walking around bare foot. If their stupid it’s because they’re not educated and if their in poverty it’s because they don’t work. You can blame all the insects you want and weather conditions you want. Rain or shine sick or healthy many people still go to work. Blame their work ethic and lack of self control
