When an Australian nutter can come to NZ, get a gun licence without the normal background character checks including a sponsor who knows him.., no police interview , ALL Kiwis must adhere to and then have 300 rounds posted to him , we have a major problem..he could not get a licence in Aussie..

I live in Auckland and was at work when the shooting happened. The radio at work is always on and hearing the music just stop abruptly and hearing the news, I couldn't believe it.
Mind you I work at a small company on a shared drive-way with other small companies and it is usually loud, I remember walking out of the of the warehouse door it was just silent.
Everyone was just outside together shocked at what was going on we couldn't believe it. Very dark day that day.
