Vice war documentaries are pretty good
I never thought about how asking about what someone’s experiences are like could affect other people. When I was younger my uncle, who fought in Vietnam, told me that if a vet is willing to tell you a story you damn well better listen. And at the end of it you need to treat them with the utmost respect but don’t treat them like they are different. Idk if that’s proper protocol but that’s what he told me to do.

I will always find war reporters a crazy bunch. I was in the Army and i can't imagine going into a hot zone with only a camera.
