That's because the world of MMA is currently most active on an american market, and all sports in the US turn into trash talk and fake drama that revolve around marketing, hype and basically any stupid shit but the sport itself. When MMA was based in Japan, it was honorable and proper, same is true for MMA events in Europe. That's why Mcgregor was a nobody when he fought in Europe, people disliked him for his personality, and when he went to the US, he became a big star and a role model to people for acting like a fucking idiot.
