The reading of the King James Bible (of 1611 C.E.) at Revelation 1:11, with the words: "I am the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and" are not in the most ancient Greek manuscripts, such as the Codex 1160 of the 11th century C.E., including the Alexandrine (of the 5th century C.E.), Sinaitic (of about 375 C.E.), and Codex Ephraemi rescriptus. I (of the 5th century C.E.). It is, therefore, omitted in many modern translations, and is not even found in the Catholic Douay Version of 1582 C.E.
This is just one of many places that is inaccurate in the King James Bible, and a sincere Bible reader should "want only the best", an accurate Bible that doesn't "disappoint". Here is how an accurate Bible reads at Revelation 1:11: "saying: “What you see, write in a scroll and send it to the seven congregations: in Ephʹe·sus, in Smyrʹna, in Perʹga·mum, in Thy·a·tiʹra, in Sarʹdis, in Philadelphia, and in La·o·di·ceʹa.”(New World Translation)
And the words "Alpha and Omega" (first and last letters of the Koine Greek alphabet) applies only to God, whose name is Jehovah (see Isa 12:2, KJV), and NOT to Jesus Christ.
