I am reading The Invention of Sound right now. Pretty sure that would be the book they are talking about in this podcast.
Here we have two guys that had flaws. Bad and weird personality traits.
One worked on himself, to get rid of the flaw. Worked to be better, a better person. And with great effort, energy and time. He is one badass amazing person.
The other one accepted his flaw, build a career around it. Made it a feature, a treasure. Maybe he did not see this as a flaw at all to begin with.
Two different strategies. Both work.
Accepting and changing, or accepting and reframing.
