The thing is even James Brown used ideas from other earlier musicians… blues came from the French Sonnets… and so where does it end. I don't believe Led ever sat down and went … Hey dudes let's steel that song. I suspect it was a case of the mass music overload all around them, that was soaked into their blood and from there they were inspired to write.
Lets stop judging everyone… man the internet has made people the judge jury and prosecutor… lol
Every band takes something from musicians who came before them but the big difference with Led Zep is they took the music somewhere new take since I've been loving you it's the blues. But not your normal 12 bar blues it's taken the blues beyond the predictable 12 bars into new territory..
So funny when people say, like joe does here, that they are tainted by the plagiarism however there is a long standing expression in the arts
“Mediocre artists borrow, genius steals and makes better.”
Yeah, I guess they stole the riffs to The Rain Song, Ten Years Gone, Black Dog, Kashmir, Over the Hills, The Ocean and others? I’m glad you cleared it up for me!

Plagiarism in music is weird cause they didn’t rip anyone off u are gonna end up writing songs and are gonna end up sounding similar to your influences, also there is only 7 notes so go learn music first before u start on this plagiarism train. Also they won the court cases due to there not being enough evidence to prove plagiarism.
