I respect opinion when it comes to faith as there are degrees of adherence to the written word, as there are arguments for, there are arguments against. Having read studied and understood the history apart from and including the biblical accounts, the case can be made for and against. With the Ehrmans and Prices of the world the rhetoric is rich.

so when the old testament says god is jealous but jealousy being one of deadly sins? that isnt a contradiction? it would at least point to a hypocritical god!
