I am a proud Floridian, and I remember the South Beach of 'Scarface'-it existed untouched until the 2000's below fifth and Lincoln had a punk bar where we had to run for blocks due to the criminal element.
Lincoln was a dark, unlit hood where you didn't want to be after dark.
In my twenties, South Florida became the "National Headquarters" of many businesses-I worked for 3 of them.
It is an amazing place to live and work and I have nothing but awesome memories there.
I remember finding a bullet hole in my beautiful Civic's door; I left it there as a badge of pride.
I lived in Treasure Island, West Coast Florida. Total free for all. Went back home to Virginia……alive.
California citrus is the best. I miss that. East Missouri. Nothing but rock citrus. 😊
No factories…no jobs…no mountains…no waterfalls…
