She left out the fact that Barber Surgeons was founded in Egypt, and the Europeans learned that from the Egyptians
50 years from now they will look at abortion the way we look at slavery today.
Tim Burton should direct the movie that she wants to make about that famous surgeon from way back in the day that would amputate limbs in 30 seconds.
Joe as far as the traditional barber surgeon goes. She's right on most of it. I'm a barber for over 30 years now and have studied the roots of the profession. The barber surgeon removed teeth and other oral anomalies. Did blood letting as she described. She didnt go into mole removal but they did all sorts of minor surgery usually on the head face and neck. I cant believe she didnt mention the use of leeches. Which was common around the same period.
Prostitute.. Butcher… Barber.. 3 oldest professions.
