Alcohol used to be illegal. Americans gave up enforcing this law because it caused too much crime. Now heroin, cocaine, and meth are illegal, but we may have to give up enforcing these laws too.
It seems like legalizing drugs almost would stop the overdoses just cuz then the addicts can get the real shit instead of shit like fentanyl but there will always be those addicts who will overdo it just cuz they wanna be super high
It's not the drugs fault, people have problems and you need better health care. If you want to do any drug, you should be able to do it and know the risks. It's that the gov wants control and money.
The government should never have the power to protect adults from themselves. It is not better for society, it's only more control of society.
