  1. Joe and this lady sit and laugh and giggle about the literal hell of Victorian life.
Amazing time to be alive. 2022 humans would not survive very long if transported just 150 years ago.

  2. I suppose wigs were useful for covering the wounds caused by syphillus; however, the main purpose of wigs was fashion and convenience. Aristocrats/nobles had many wigs in many different styles in the form of human hair or more commonly horse hair. They were permanently died, arranged, and styled so the wearer could simply adorn it without much fuss or time. Of course, the wigs would need to be cared for and maintained by a master stylist, but a nobleman would have many to choose from in his dressing room where they would be stored. Wigs were an elaborate accessory. The way the wigs were highly styled were not always possible with someones actual hair, so using a wig specifically created to reflect the style of the time was a luxury that the aristocracy indulged in. In fact, wearing a wig was nearly mandatory to be presented at court or partake in official engagements well up until the late 18th century when they fell out of favor with the increasingly democratic atmosphere sweeping Europe during the French Revolution.

  3. It's funny how we act like we're so much better than the people back then but look at all the crazy shit that's going on now and you still walk by somebody that stinks or a covered with a lot of cologne. It's a lot better today then it was but what are people are going to think of people today 200 years from now. lol funny and they ridiculed Marie Antoinette for taking baths her mother believed in taking baths for a good health
