  1. Something about the stand-up scene/rat pack-esque era of the mid eighties to very early nineties, cannot be replicated today, you don’t see it in anything. There was never anything like it since, you can’t name one comedian today, from the most prolific to mid-tier names, that did it quite like they did back then.

  2. Never forget being up late watching a comedy special from Dangerfields that featured Sam in his early years, I was like 17 or something, that was showing on HBO. For some reason I taped it because I was tired and didn’t think I’d stay up that late. Never laughed so hard in my life. Next day I call my friends over to have them watch this. We all became instant fans and would quote those jokes for years.

  3. Lenny's description of Sam pretty much fits the bill. I saw Sam at the Bayfront Center in Tampa, FL in 1986, and I never laughed so hard in my life!! The guy was an absolute comedy genius on stage. R.I.P. Sam Kinison!😄👍👍

  4. I remember EXACTLY the time period they're talking about. I just got my drivers license, and had been a Sam K fan since the year before. Was at school when the Challenger Shuttle exploded. Dice Man was about to break big the next year too. 1986 was really the last best times of America. By Fall 86, it was over….Never felt THAT GOOD again! Thank you Sam!
