I think your theory is just applicable for humans. We are just a fraction of the species alive and insignificant in the grand term of life. 99.9% of nature does not care about the things u mentioned such as career. And humans CAN inhibit pregnancies, but they still have sex all the time. So immoreal animals would still reproduce constantly such as humans would do if they did not have the means to stop it.
The immortal jellyfish?
I know about a jellyfish that can de-age itself indefinitely. Can I be a Yale professor?

A human (or other creature with a beating heart) can survive only as long as the heart (a muscle) can activley beat.
And the heart (being a muscle) CANNOT beat endlessly, forever, ad infinitum (again and again in the same way), and when it stops…..we die.
