I have a cousin who did did over 8 years for socking a guy who fell, hit his head on an edge, then died… Lost a full ride scholarship to UCLA…….
My grandpa killed someone in a fist fight. A man was talking trash outside of the bar, and my grandpa punched him in self defense. Unfortunately the man hit his head on a pole on the way down, and sadly passed away. My grandpa was proven innocent, but the thought of killing a man with a family haunted him forever.
I haven't gotten in a fight since I was a kid due to the fact you can easily get fucked up badly. Just landing bad on your head can kill you or cause a seizure.
Lol idk how people who’ve never been beat up or seen people get beat up like really beat up want to escalate or participate in avoidable situations that end in violence. I’m not a good fighter I’ve lost mad fights and the ones I didn’t outright get beat up or embarrassed I protected myself enough that I could deescalate it in any way. I’m a mouthy mf I’m good at making people mad w words but I learned from martial arts as a kid that violence should be avoided in most situations and to always put pride out the window in dumb situations.
My paternal grandfather spent six years in prison for doing exactly this. He was a big guy (6'4") and got into a bar fight, punched the guy, guy died after hitting his head on the ground. I never met or knew the guy- he left six kids and a wife when he got locked up. Fighting is no joke.
