  1. Thank you Canada wonderful decision. I never thought in my lifetime I would see this – anywhere, now if only the US will follow suit.. Also, in 2013, the NIH announced that it would no longer be using one of our closest relatives in biomedical research, Chimpanzees. Now, hundreds of chimps, who spent decades living in a barren, 5×8 cells have gone to sanctuaries across the country, with about 200 still waiting to go, as all the sanctuaries expand. What happened to them is soul crushing. And no significant medical breakthroughs were made and our tax dollars were secretly funding this torture. Some, were actually taken from the wild in the late seventies/early 80's as infants, where their entire family was killed just to get the baby, only to be sold into biomedical research. Next we need to close, all road-side zoos, rodeos, factory farming, horse racing and stop using animals in medical research (where there are now more accurate, cost-effective computer models that were developed decades ago) and increase the penalty for animal abuse/neglect in our county. And lastly and IMHO most importantly, upgrade other animals' status from being mere possessions to beings with rights. We will never be able to advance as a civilization, if we continue preying/exploiting/abusing the other animals who share this planet with us.

  2. Canada is cool. In America these intelligent creatures will rot in their fish tanks as long as there's a $1 to be made. America seems like its going down the tubes fast with the corporate world running our government!
