Maybe it’s just because I grew up with games, but they can never push those disturbing buttons with me. In real life I am quite squeamish and don’t like gore, but in a game I always have an awareness that it’s just a computer render.
Quake is addictive. It gets your adrenaline up and I think you get a little dopamine hit when you get a frag. I retired from Quake 2 in 2006 because I was playing too much. They just re-released it on Xbox and I started playing again…
Joe Rogan is truly Quakepilled.
I'm 18 but I grew up with Quake, and it's magnificent. Personally I'm a huge fan of the first game because it's really unpolished and primitive, but at the same time it is the engine that makes it beautiful god it's so simple yet powerful and optimised it's simply incredible. Not to mention the raw deathmatch gameplay god it's so addictive
nice lol well he's got a wife, lots of kids and is rich as fk. tiny bit of gaming is fine yo. just turn it off and unplug if need be. ADHD that's what I did in my econ degrees… might for laws too.
