  1. I’ve always felt that the ideas like Green New Deal is basically just posturing. The only realistic way something like this could ever pass into law would be the democrats to control the House with a heavy majority, have at least 60 seats in the senate and have the president be a democrat. If they didn’t have that then it likely wouldn’t have the votes to pass the House and if it did it would just get filibustered in the Senate unless they had the votes to override it.

AOC brought it forward and it had 13 senators that supported it and around 60 members of the House. That is clearly nowhere near what they would’ve needed for it to be any kind of reality. And even if it hypothetically had passed both chambers it obviously would’ve been vetoed by President Trump. Nobody realistically thought it would ever pass – it’s just something they bring forward so they can campaign that they’re fighting for the little guy and nothing more than that.

Even in a miracle world where they had enough party votes for passing something like this it wouldn’t happened. Does anybody really believe that the politicians would pass something like this that would absolutely piss off all of the wealthy donors that finance their elections year after year? Maybe there are politicians like an AOC who would sacrifice her career to get something like this through but there will never be a time where they all back it. So all the fear mongering drama about a policy like this is a waste of time because we know it won’t happen.

  2. Greed is the problem. The love of money. Some people want it all. They're willing to do whatever it takes to get it. People need to understand that no one deserves more than someone else. No one is entitled to anything. Everyone should love everyone. God is the only solution. Man will let you down.
