It’s funny in Japan. Kids fight so much in elementary school then some of us start learning judo and jiu Jitsu in junirey high school. all of a sudden no more fights at all😂
There is a lot of pants grabbing in jiu jitsu that I don't see as practical in real life. the guard passing and stuff takes a long time and I don't see that in a real life. there is going to be kicking and stomping. I didn't think that pants grabbing was the best use of time. you're trying to hold on to people's pants for like your life depends on it. "you grab those pants. hold on to those pants. don't let those pants go." you're standing there not moving holding onto pants. you would move to pick up a chair, and throw it on them. that makes it a hard sell for entertainment too. not many people will pay to watch people grab pants.

Jujitsu is ok as a sport but completely useless as a self defence unless someones already knocked you to the ground
