yes, other countries have more emissions than the USA. but they have a loooooot of emissions per capita though, pretty hard to beat. but the main thing for me is that the US is a symbol on the world stage. every country is some symbol. but the USA's is over consumption for the sake of not being communist. this symbol lives strong in other countries, and if the USA were to step up and change, that wouldn't just mean change in america
I'm about to finish my Masters in Climate Change, and just want to let anyone who reads this know that this guy has literally 0 clue about climate change. Admittedly he is a journalist, but he is completely misrepresenting the issue. Exaggerating issues, no knowledge of mitigation methods like CCS. Not sure why Joe got this guy on instead of an actually climate change specialist. Says he knows "this issue deeply" yet says there are no carbon capture storage projects operational, just in laboratories. Theres 100s of CCS projects. Lots of examples of incorrect statements. Please disregard this idiot.

This guy is putting way too much belief into the corrupt US politicians to get anything done. Any bill will get buried in Congress so that the big corporations get it their way.
Katharine Hayhoe would be a great guest. She's a climate scientist and a Christian (a lot of Christians are deniers) who's fantastic at explaining the finer points of climate change in a way dummies like me can understand, and she has a solution.
