  1. I think that the likes of Mark Hunt, and Roy Nelson, among others, have shown clearly that these solid lads, such as the one holding pads for Khalil herein, should never be written off or underestimated on the basis of their physique.
Over the years, I have witnessed super skinny lads, with basically arms like sticks, who have punched seven shades of shite out of heavily muscled, much stronger men, and seen big, chubby lads who could move with such agility and speed as to astound all, also, over many years in the fighting arts, and on the street during my "wayward youth"…..
Of the two best fighters I have ever known, one was a young lad, all of 20 years old at the time, babyfaced as they come, with a permanent grin, and arms like literal sticks; literally absolutely no muscle definition whatsoever (!) who, out of necessity, in a heavy situation where the big fella left no option, absolutely obliterated a much larger, renowned street brawler who was in his early thirties, from the area, with the kid causing such damage in a few short seconds with a boxing combination, that it left many of the locals who did not witness the fight believing that somebody else had to have been the one who fought him.(🤣!)
Many remained unconvinced that it was even possible, no matter how much we tried to tell them the truth of the matter. The other super handy lad, whom I grew up with, is a straight throwback to the old-school UK hardman archetype, and the greatest fighter that I have ever encountered. He is a short little Welshman called Gareth, who has rounded shoulders, is an extremely quiet and well mannered lad, of an utterly unassuming nature, and fully balding in a major way, and since his mid 20s, who shows absolutely no real muscle definition whatsoever, and one would never, ever predict his ability to look after himself at all upon looking at him. Gareth not only possesses truly incredible, extreme KO power in either hand, but throws rapid, educated combinations, and drops far bigger and larger men, who can seriously fight in their own right, on a consistent basis, in a manner which utterly astounds anyone who witnesses him in action. Every time; inevitable result….Likely lads, and some very big fellows among them too, all but dwarfing Gareth, have been sent flying, airborne, and I would see their eyes shut instantly on connection, and after just being clipped by one of his punches, from any range, but often from the shortest possible range, too; ranging from compact hooks, after he would roll in, under, or around their own shot(s), through to Gareth shoving them backwards and, on the tail end of an overhand right, that might just clip them at the last moment, also, and to only one result: "Nighty-night, bunny rabbits.."
It's kind of like if his knuckles even contact a jawbone, their lights go out, and the assailant just goes flying across the room into tables or a wall, or the like. Crazy! Every time..!!…Truly incredible… A straight phenomenon; full freak of nature.(!).. Gareth will often drop them with a body shot too, more often than anything else, and they just fold up and roll around everywhere. It's freakish.
You'd swear he must be wearing brass knuckles or something(!), and there's just no way, looking at his whole size, appearance and physique, to ever be able to adequately explain where the ridiculous power comes from. He's a right humble, polite, well mannered old-school hardman type lad, a gentleman, through and through, and all the locals consider him the lad that "sweeps up the streets" in the surrounding suburbs, so to speak, but always with a square go approach. Numerous times I, and others, have seen him hit with weapons and objects thrown or swung at him, amidst melees, and in sneak goes, and he barely even registers it, and either grabs the thing and throws it away first, or just knocks them out cold while they're still standing there, holding it in their hands…One would witness the assailants going down, one, two, three… Truly incredible to see firsthand. Just a straight freak of nature, the lad. I ceased to see muscle definition or mass etc to hold any great meaning really, growing up among that crew. This is a phenomenon that I have witnessed elsewhere in .y life also, time and time again. Am a big lad myself, at 6 foot 3", and have always been well built and lean, but I will never, ever underestimate anybody.
