What people fail to understand is that your data doesn’t point to you as a person, but an ID number that represents you so the ads you see are more relevant. Everyone acts like there is some dude reading everything about you and then deciding which ads to show you. In reality, it’s all just an algorithm that is sifting through trillions of data points and matching them up to ID numbers. I do this stuff for a living and it has only given me more peace of mind when it comes to my data being collected. Honestly, I almost invite it because then I don’t see useless stuff all the time.
