If you apply actual clear definitions of what is intersex, and not just anyone who has any mildly non-specific traits, then the number of intersex people is estimated at around 0.018% – not the inflated number of 1% to 1.7% that’s often thrown around. It doesn’t mean these aren’t important people with important issues – but to inflate that number is incredibly disingenuous…
