It wasn’t incredibly complex. It tracks the orbits of different celestial bodies and abled the Greeks to predict where they would be in any given time. It’s basically a calculator. The curious factor comes from how it was made and the technology it uses since Ancient Greece did not use such mechanisms until the discovery of this device. This was the only one found and there’s no evidence of it being kept secret. This is a theory stemming from the fact that it was mentioned much in any texts.

Okay, I need to explain something about Graham Hancock, he isn't an archaeologist he has a degree in Sociology and he's a Conspiracy Theorist nutjob and knows nothing about archaeology whatsoever.
