2:20:20 Is there an episode where Joe talks about ADHD and the drugs associated with it? That wouldn’t just be a great podcast, but a much needed conversation.
First of all, they are both wrong about psychotropic drugs to some extent: they don’t create “SPEED freaks” and cognitive behavioral therapy is NOT way more effective than medication – FOR KIDS WHO REALLY HAVE ADHD. I do agree that ADHD is overdiagnosed in certain subgroups of kids, but it’s UNDERDIAGNOSED in others.
The problem is diagnosing it correctly and busting some of these social myths about what ADHD actually is. It’s not just a hyperactive little boys thing.
