The issue is the ufc rules favor wrestlers weight cuts an issue for everyone but wrestlers cut more than kickboxers or boxers but no knees to the ground lets help wrestlers
Weight cutting is just another form of cheating. You want to see weight cutting end? Have same day weigh-ins. A fighter has up till the time of the match to make weight, otherwise they lose 100% of their purse, and if they fail to make weight 2-3 times, they're banned from that weight class and have to fight in a heavier one. Implement this, and you'll see weight cutting practically end over night. Sure some fighters will still pull it off successfully, but it'll hurt enough of them to make most of them stop. Connor was supposed to fight at 155lbs, but he knew he'd lose his power and size advantage. Same goes for a bunch of other fighters that dominate in a weight class they shouldn't be in.
They should at least do a second weigh in right before the fight and put that on the tale of the tape so we know their real weight they are fighting at. I don’t care what they weighed in at 24 hours prior when they were cutting. Might as well just put in “yes” in the weight.
You are a punk if you want to cut weight to win a fight. Fight at your natural weight and be a real man.
