I get where everyone is coming from, but I am so grateful for social media's ability to connect me with so many interesting people. It's thanks to social networks that I was really able to find myself and in turn apply my best experiences to the real world when I may have otherwise just lived my life feeling like something was missing. Instead of just deleting accounts I quickly learned to not overindulge and got a keen sense of the kinds of people I truly enjoy talking to. The negativity just becomes more and more of a pushover as time goes on. But hey, I get that some folks don't need that extra stimulation and can feel totally fulfilled through their personal lives, and I say good for them.

Yep. Facebook is toxic and crooked.
