Kind of similar to Atlantis except the ocean floor is not dropping, the fault line is splitting. What else will fall and get destroyed? Maybe something like Atlantis could happen where they have fracked that fault line so many times and the whole west coast breaks off like Maynard's dreams in "AEnema". This is already on the clock? Geologist have this one, but not totally. It sounds correct. The Yellowstone Volcano Observatory is monitoring it. Yellowstone caldera explosion could seriously destroy civilization. And there isn't a damn thing we can do about that. Scientists say these events are to happen in the (+) (–) 10,000 years. Something big will happen in the next 25,000 years from our own impact on the planet. We could do more about asteroid and comet impacts, but geological activity, good luck trying to engineer that.
Portland and Vancouver are safe from tsunami but the Columbia river could likely see a huge flood/tidal wave type of event
I cant speak for Seattle but Portland is about 80 miles away from the ocean AND there are mountains in the way too (Oregon Coast Range). An earthquake generated tsunami will reach no more than five or ten miles inland. Yeah, the quake will do heavy damage to Stumptown but the tsunami will not get anywhere close to it. Probably no farther than half way up towards Portland along the Columbia River.
Cities of libtards, especially Portland. So, who cares?
