Dakota Meyer is a United States Marine. A veteran of the War in Afghanistan, he was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions during the Battle of Ganjgal on 8 September 2009, in Kunar Province, Afghanistan.

I read his book when it first came out and seen him on Dave Letterman after he was awarded the MOH. Watch the interview with Letterman, it was pretty funny. (Dave got this warrior laughing, I loved him for it too) anyways that podcast with Jacko was good but it left out so much details, read the book. Dakota was just a kid, 21, at that age i was still partying & being a fool and this guy was already a hero, a 100 + times over. He really does put things in perspective about what’s important, we’re spoiled in the Western world.
