  1. I think there is a difference between being political and just speaking your mind. I grew up with eminem, gta games, south park, Tarantino films, all things that politicians on both sides but particularly the conservative christians were trying to ban, so I grew up with freedom of speech being a left-wing idea, further left than a Hillary Clinton would be since she was on the censor's side.

It's a shame to see that freedom of speech has now truly been politicized though, I thought it was before but it wasn't really at all compared to today. We are growing into a generation of people that will have to make an active decision whether we want to speak our minds or not, even if in the purest intentions to avoid conflict since we see it everywhere, let alone someone forcing you to not speak your mind. In reality, freedom of speech should not be a left or right thing, it shouldn't even be an american thing alone if you know what I mean.

Moral of the story: I see in these comments a lot of lists of "right-wing" comedians but lots of them are these nowadays-almost-oldschool-liberals from the turn of the millennium, those days I was referring to earlier. These are just people that don't fit with the more modern takes of younger leftists. Unfortunately, I am one of these even though I align more with my older liberals (and younger ones too, it seems like the youngest are turning out very cyncial, for good or for bad)

  2. I don't know if political humor is easy, unless it's just boring partisan humor, like Wolf does. A lot of socially conscious comedians would be funnier if they focused on their own hypocrisy. And making fun of everyone — or really, making fun of the voters — is far more difficult.
