This guy is an complete moron if he really thinks Andre3000 didn't know he was writing a sad lyrics and didn't by choice bring a contrast to them how the song Hey Ya is presented by an artistic choice. Those lyrics are nursery rhymes in Andre's catalogue so yeah.. I do think he knew what he was doing and the meaning of HIS lyrics better than some random basic ass cover artist. The song was a major hit if I happen to remember correctly so I don't think it was that bad of an idea to present the song how he chose. This dude doesn't understand how songs are made, everything doesn't have to be in a straight line. These are sad lyrics so the song should be sad, no, go outside of your box.
