Re: the reason he won't get his nose fixed – I love Artie but he's full of shit. Artie's in love with self destruction. He loves the idea of always being the most fucked up person in the room. Walking around with that deformed nose ensures that. Him saying that it keeps him from relapsing is just stupid.
