Rick Baker is a retired special make-up effects creator and actor, mostly known for his creature effects and designs. He won the Academy Award for Best Makeup seven times from a record of eleven nominations.

Rick Baker is seriously too modest. He’s literally a legend now and will be a legend to come. His work will descend for eternity. And yet, he doesn’t think his work is magic and IT IS. And from such a young age he did American Werewolf in London? Insane!
It's sad that Baker had to suffer so much counter-productive interference from his employers. I was one year behind him at Northview High School (!) and his name was familiar to everyone. I ended up as a public school teacher, now retired. I still do teaching (as a software developer) and it's essential to me. I hope Baker has found a way around the BS he had to endure and can continue practice his craft in some way. Work, for some of us, is sacred.
