Rick Baker is a retired special make-up effects creator and actor, mostly known for his creature effects and designs. He won the Academy Award for Best Makeup seven times from a record of eleven nominations.

Despite Baker's reference to the movie (e.g., King Kong) that put him on the map, Rogan doesn't ask a single question about that film. Pathetic. The 1976 version of King Kong was not a great film, but Jeff Bridges and Jessica Lange (e.g., Lange's first film) give it their all, and Rick Baker constructed and wore the Kong suit. It would have been fascinating to hear a King Kong anecdote or two from Baker, but Rogan was too obsessed with packing the interview with repetitive inquiries about An American Werewolf In London.
By far one of my favorites so far! His work influenced me as an FX artists today along with many others, hope he does more podcasts like this, I’m sure he has tons of great stories.
Rick Baker is flat out the greatest Special Effect Make-Up Artist of this or any generation. His lack of ego wouldn't want the accolade but he's an incredible artist. 7 time Academy Award Winner! He should have thrown that into the faces of some of those producers a little more often.
