If a criminal can be President then why can't criminals vote.

Candidates would have to earn the inmates vote just like everybody else. Bringing cigarettes for inmates would be like bringing gifts to give to everybody else for their votes.
And seriously, do you think all of sudden, all these inmates will start paying attention to politics and vote now? I'm guessing at most, about the same as the general population.
