  1. As someone who bowled competitively for 6 years…. You have the basic fundamentals of what’s considered proper technique. But everyone develops their own style of how they approach, swing, release etc…. So you have to be very focused and develop a high level of muscle memory to repeat your process over and over to repeatedly get strikes. Because the goal is to do the exact same process 10 times without error and get that 300…. many factors come into play when it comes to getting strikes…. So if you’re not on point with ball speed/rpm’s ratio it will greatly affect the collision point to the pins, oil patterns affect the break point of the ball and you have to account for it. Picking up spares and understanding how to throw the ball to pick up spares, where your spare pin is on the lane will determine how you have to throw the ball. I’ve always looked at it from a geometry, physics, and scientific perspective. Like pool as well, ball speed and angle play a big factor. But you have to know your ball and understand how it reacts when you throw in specific pin setups, otherwise you won’t succeed. In that perspective it’s almost like being a horse jockey at the Kentucky derby. Because that rider and horse have to develop a relationship where they understand each other and work together
