  1. four years later, and now they're finally realizing that artificial turf is a big part of the problem. 1. People can run faster on turf, leading to more violent collisions 2. The turf is much harder than grass, so when the helmet contacts the ground, the impact is greater on the brain.

  2. When I played "foozeball" the coaches would say "if you never had your bell rung you ain't playing the game right!" lol. I am just wondering when the class action law suits against even high schools and colleges from people that played 30+ years ago, which is bullshit. We didn't understand concussions back then the way we do now but one thing we did know was there was a damned good chance you were going to get fucked up at some point if you played the game long enough. It just goes with the territory and if you weren't or aren't willing to take that risk then don't play the game! If you are a parent or guardian of a young kid that wants to play, the same applies for rather or not you should let them play. I got my bell rung, I got terrible shoulders (left much more so than the right) from playing football but I loved every minute of it and would do it all over again, worth it to play the game I love.

  3. When they had leather helmets though people were getting there eyes poked out and people were hurt in other ways imagine if someone hurdles you but doesn’t get over you and puts their cleat in your face without a face mask
