That's the part of the issue that Eddie is too cautious to talk about.
The wealthy nations (the "First world") should be melded with the less wealthy nations (the other "worlds"). Directly. Instead of indirectly.

Well, invent a time machine, go back a few hundred (or thousand) years and still the pillaging of weaker peoples.
We deserve their crime, their suffering. And we hold the responsibility to force them into a better way of thinking, of living.
