He didn't die for freedom of speech. He died because of drug use. As much as I appreciated what he said to America over and over, 1) he CHOSE to be a stand-up comedian, 2) he CHOSE to be controversial with this vulgarity, 3) he CHOSE to marry a drug-addict who introduced him to drugs. Let's not get things confused. Lenny believed in being honest, so please don't insult him by making up lies in order to pretty things up!
This was four years ago, Joe. How much of this do you stand by now. Lenny is more relevant now than ever. It’s certainly a controversy now.

Lenny Bruce would not have been fooled by todays anti-Trans movement. Especially, he would have been disgusted by its pretending to be about 'Free Speech' when really it is about silencing an entire group of people….even if – like so many Anti-Trans People today….he didn't understand it and found it 'icky'.
