1:01:40 ish. I got fired for writing a story about a guy who goes to his job and goes postal on everyone in a factory ran by vampires selling organs of their victims on the black market. I got out of the Army in 2008, and after about almost 8 years of war and 15 years of service, I was relieved to get a decent job at a local factory. I started out on production, worked up to a floater, QA, trainer, line supervisor, and finally floor manager in record time, 5-6 years. I was doing the American thing, using my GI Bill to get an education in creative writing while I was slaving away. Small towns+factories equal triple the drama, and I was really getting fed up with all the woke spreading threading through to factory. My VP was becoming a liberalist NAZI and firing anyone who questioned the fact they were trying to take piece wages away for hourly production. A 25% decrease in pay for the majority of people that the did the majority of the work. They didn't care because they could just replace them with minorities and like-minded woke sauce that didn't know they were working a job that paid 17-24 an hour the month before, but they'd never make more than 8 bucks an hour.
As a writer, I took out of my frustrations on paper, wrote and sold my first story. I was so fucking proud. About a week later, HR came and got me. I got down to the office and they had the sheriff's department deputies and an investigator in there. They "were concerned" that I was making threats toward the company. They then fired me. Had the police escort me out. When I left, the same deputies and investigator blue lighted me. The investigator tells me that they wanted me charged with communicating a threat to every employee that worked for the company and they wanted the sheriff's department to have me arrested and charged again if the company attorney thought that I had put company trade secrets in my story. The investigator told me it was stupidest bullshit that he had ever encountered, and at first he was thinking it was going to be the case of his career because they made it seem like I had written this long threatening letter, and they used details of my military occupation against me like bomb making, and the like, but what they sent him was a link to a published story that he had to pay for to read. I was so dismayed and heartbroken that they thought anyone cared about the secret of the big blue drape. The only similarities my story had was it took place in a factory.
