If the earth is a ball and we have satelites. Why do we need mobile base station antennas on buildings ?
How do you explain a rocket trust in a vacum?
wouldn't making a very long stick or beam be a way to prove the earth is not flat? you just keep extending the stick longer and longer but the angle of the stick is always the same as it started so it would end up getting higher and higher off the ground as the length of this stick gets larger and larger to keep that same angle. This is how I would prove or disprove it.
It would require a lot of money though depending on what type of materials you make the "stick" out of, lot of time, and a giant stretch of land that's fairly flat as well like the plains of Kansas maybe where you could perform the experiment unbothered by the public but it seems like the most obvious way to prove this.
If the earth is a globe, then by the time you reach a significant distance, you would have to increase the height of the support beams holding the stick or beam or whatever to keep adding to it at the same straight angle.
Except your own eyes.
Sooner or later we will all have a choice to trust in authority or to believe in ourselves.
