  1. Hey I just wanted to add something of possible interest to the discussion about the extent of li es lost on that historic day. I'm not absolutely sure about this, but, I had read or maybe watched an interview about what actually transpired that day as seen through the lens of the co bat photographer. The numbers may be inaccurate, but there were a purported 100 plus rolls of combat film taken that day, but only a few were actually released to the public. The devastating and inumerous loss of life that was so tragic, that it was deemed impossible to allow the American public to have any knowledge of what had happened. They believed if the public had seen the bodies literally piled up on the beach, that the impact would have undermined the entire war effort. Again , I am not sure of this, it would interesting to k how if there was some truth about this subject.

  2. 1 problem is the movies glorify war and portray it in an enticing way. Then the military recruits these young people before their frontal cortex is even developed which then shapes these individuals into killing machines and do nothing to help them reintegrate into society. But the worst is that they are now wired mentally in a different way that's unchangeable. They ruin their lives
